Frank Marsella, AIA
Frank Marsella,
Started his Westchester practice in 1998 as Marsella & Knoetgen Architects, Before starting Marsella Architects. He is well recognized for his excellence in Residential Architecture, being awarded the N.Y. Landmarks Lucy G. Moses Award and the Westchester Home Design Awards.
Frank grew up and still resides in Mamaroneck, New York. He received his Bachelors of Architecture degree from NYIT and his Masters of Architecture degree from Syracuse University.
While attending Syracuse, Frank studied and lived in Florence, Italy where he focused on Renaissance & International Style Architecture.
Prior to starting his own firm Frank worked with Kenneth Nadler Architects in Westchester designing custom homes and additions. Frank’s work experience began with Award Winning Architecture Firm R.M. Kliment & Frances Halsband Architects in NYC.
Frank Marsella is a registered architect in the State of New York & Connecticut, NCARB Certified, and a member of The American Institute of Architects.
Virginia K. Picciotto, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Virginia Picciotto, Received her Bachelors of Architecture degree at NYIT and Masters in Architecture degree in Florence, Italy through Syracuse University.
Before partnering with Frank to start Marsella Architects, Virginia worked with Marsella and Knoetgen Architects. Virginia’s past work experience includes di Domenco + Partners where she was an associate and handled project management for Civic projects. She later worked for the City of New Rochelle as the Director of Planning and Sustainability. Virginia has served over 9 years on the Town of Mamaroneck Planning Board.
Virginia is a registered Architect in the State of New York, NCARB Certified, LEED Accredited Professional and a member of The American Institute of Architects.
Virginia handles all aspects of the firm’s projects but emphasizes project design and interior details and finishes. She enjoys building close relationships with her clients to understand their lifestyles which creates a personalized approach to each clients’ design.

Sarah Schkeeper
Sarah Schkeeper moved back to NY after spending several years working for a residential firm in Fredericksburg, VA, that specialized in historic and vernacular design.
Before moving to Virginia, Sarah received her Masters in Architecture from Pratt Institute while interning for a Brooklyn firm that specialized in Passive House design. Working primarily in residential architecture, Sarah works on all phases of design from preliminary analysis to 3D massing models to final construction documents.
Sarah lives in New Rochelle, NY with her dog, Skipper.
